It just doesn’t get more fun that this CD.  Everything this talented group does is just a swingin’ good time.  Regardless if it’s one of their tunes or their take on someone else’s, the music just feels natural and good, like a comfy pair of old shoes.  Ya gotta love that, considering the liner notes that most of it is one take with only road polish.  I have seen them perform on several occasions and they do have that polish and stage flair that draws folks to the front.  The long piano run Honey does is always a smash live, but it did seem to run me down a little on the CD.  Don’t get me wrong, it’s really amazing piano work.  Rod is so smooth on the harp and there ain’t no slackers in the back line.  Yep, they are definitely Keepin’ It Real.
