Robin Rogers – Treat Me Right

Although the title song was written by Riley King, Robin owns it!  She and Tony Rogers, husband, guitarist, co-writer, and co-producer wrote seven of the songs on this cd.  Robin has an excellent, passionate voice which she can swoon or grind the words to fulfill the top-shelf musician’s work behind her.  Mark Stalling plays excellent piano and B-3, especially on Ain’t No Use.  Moan is probably my favorite tune on this cd.  It has a smooth, smoky feel that you can’t help snappin’ your fingers to.

 

I recommend this cd to my Blues buddies.
