On
Sunday, March 2, 2003 Daddio's in Bloomington hosted the
Blues Blowtorch Society's annual membership drive and
fundraiser. This year's theme was Mardi Gras, and what a
party it was, complete with costumes, clowns, a magician
and cajun food!!!! As in years past corporate sponsors
and others generously provided items for a silent
auction.
Music
lasted throughout the day, provided by local favorites
6V6, The Noisy Gators, Rooster Alley and a special
appearance by Lori Ann and the 3-D Rythm Band --
reuniting just for this event.
Once
again Gary Lundberg took the lead on organizing this
event and once again he did a spectacular job (That's
Gary holding the umbrella in the far right photo in the
second row.) Of course, he didn't do it alone. As with
all BBS events it was volunteers who made it happen.
Check with us to see how you can volunteer and help keep
blues alive in central Illinois.
