On October 8, 2006
the Blues Blowtorch Society held the Fall Ball, a fundraiser for
the society's education program. The setting was the Mackinaw
Valley Vineyard, a great supporter of the society and live
music. Featured bands included Russell Miller and 6V6, David
Berchold with Brian Stear, and the After Midnight Blues Band. In
addition to the music fans got to dig into a hog roast with corn
on the cob and beans. Steve "The Harp" set the stage for the day
by offering harmonica lessons. As if all that were not enough,
Karen Brault was kind enough to donate a quilt and basket, which
were auctioned off and the proceeds going to the society.

weather, great food, and a great setting -- who could ask for
more?
